Dotia

Dotia is a singer, songwriter, and musician from Naples, FL. She has been performing since age 3, plays guitar, piano, and writes all of her own songs. She attended the Tisch School of Drama at New York University from Fall 2016 to December 2017 and left to pursue music. Possessing no formal music training she is mostly self taught with the help a few part-time teachers, YouTube, her Father (Jack McVicker), Aunt (Mary Noyes), and late Grandmother (Harriet Johnson).

Her first music drop was in May 2020, where she released four singles “Played”, “Olympus Mons”, “October”, and “Mine” all produced by Andrew Koss of The Studio at Strawberry Fields Lane in Manchester, VT. Her second drop was in November 2020 where she released her demo EP titled “How Volcano Daydreams Made Me Want To Be Bad”, also produced by Koss.

You could describe her sound as having an alternative or experimental/soft-rock type of feel while occasionally coming into alignment with pop elements in songs such as, “Played “and “Made Me”. She has lived and performed in NYC, Manchester, VT, Detroit, MI, Naples, FL, and is currently living in Brooklyn, NY performing gigs and recording two new albums both set to release this year
